Erickson's Petting Zoo begins a new blog as we enter the Fall 2014 season...
Another year for Erickson’s Petting Zoo, being open on the farm (when it gets warmer!) and travelling with our mobile petting zoo. We ended up with a very good year last year and looking forward to that again this year. Quite a few dates are already booked for the summer. Just check with us to see if it will work. We go to the edge of the Cities, but not in.
Our first traveling petting zoo of 2021 is tomorrow. With very few last year and none this spring, seems like we are starting over. Will be at Rejuv Medical, 901 3rd St. North, Waite Park, MN. from 8:30am - 11:00am. Very few weekend days left - just contact us to see if we are available. Many dates during the week for Assisted Living Centers and Nursing Homes. Even when we travel, we are still open ere on the farm. Pony rides won’t be available.
Bookings are coming in nicely this year. Have 13 different petting zoo’s and pony rides lined up so far. Several of those are multiple days. Still a couple weekends left, plus can do petting zoo’s during the week. Just check out our mobile petting zoo page to see if we are booked or not. We have a baby llama, baby donkey, goats, sheep, and rabbits.
Thankfully, spring and summer 2021 is looking better. Our summer events are filling up. Only have a few weekend days left open. Open during the week to go to Assisted Living Homes and other events. Have a few school and home school groups coming on out to the farm. Toward the end of May, will be pumpkin planting time and then our Fall Family Fun Weekends.
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Baby event will take place on Saturday, April 3, 2021 @ 11:00AM - 2:00PM. With out knowing for sure how the weather will be, won’t have all the eggs filled. Will have bags of candy available for the kids. In case of wet weather, be sure to wear boots or old shoes.
Our early shows for April and May, have basically been cancelled. Starting in June, life is getting back to normal. Have another weekend booked for the Lake Region Threshermen Show, September 11 & 12, 2021. Our Pumpkin Seeds have arrived, so excited for our Fall Season, which will begin, Saturday, September 18th.
Like just about everybody, so glad for 2021. With just about every event cancelled in 2020. so happy that people and communities are planning on celebrating again. Just got confirmation from one of our many towns we go to thru the summer, is on. Thank you to the community of Brooten and celebrating, Bonaza Days in July. We will have our petting zoo and pony rides set up on Saturday, July 10th.
Town celebrations, Fairs and fun events are coming back! Been able to add Avon Spunktackular Days, Rose City Threshing & Heritage Festival and the Douglas County Fair back on to our schedule. Everyone loves animals and pony rides. Just let us know if we can help out.
