Do you miss the opportunity to go to Grandpa's and Grandma's farm? The next best place is Erickson's Petting Zoo of rural Osakis, Minnesota.
This old farmstead - officially recognized as a Centruy Farm - was homesteaded by Dan and Eva Weber (Dave Erickson's grandparents) in 1915. Dave and Pam Erickson, along with their family, have converted the big red barn into a home for a wide variety of farm animals and birds.
Animals include pygmy goats and their kids, sheep, miniature horses, miniature donkeys, llamas, miniature cattle, potbelly pigs, rabbits, and cats. Birds include many varieties and colors of chickens, ducks, geese, pheasants, peacocks, pigeons, and doves.
Animals like to be fed, (corn is available for a small fee). Please remember that animals have teeth, so you'll need to be careful with little fingers. When you are finished petting the animals, anti-bacterial hand sanitizer is available to wash your hands with.
In addition to the barn, we have a pony ring, a playground and sand pile, a party shed, a giant chair has been added, outdoor animal viewing areas - and more - awaiting you and your family. Erickson's Petting Zoo continually strives to improve the farm for the visitors' comfort and enjoyment. Come and visit, to see what's new!

This is a USDA licensed, inspected and insured farm. Many families, daycare centers, school groups and youth organizations come here every year. Make plans now to visit Erickson's Petting Zoo. The rates are reasonable, so you can come back often.

Fall Rates - $10.00 per person. Ages 2–5 $7.50.
Includes Petting Zoo, Corn Maze, Trolley Ride, Horse/wagon ride and all Playground Areas.
Pony Rides are $5 per rider (maximum weight of 90 pounds).
Pony rides are not always available on weekends - best to call ahead.

So much to do and see when you come on out to the Fall Family Fun. First of all, is all the different animals, tractor and wagon ride out to feed some of the outside animals and then head to the corn maze. Back at the farm, kids can ride a pony and then everyone can go for a horse and wagon ride. Grab a wagon and head out to the pumpkin patch to search for your special pumpkin. Then let the kids check out the playground. Hot cider and snacks are also, available.
